April 11 dawned sunny and clear in Lake Tahoe, but the bride and groom-to-be must have been sweating the stormy days leading up to it. Then again, maybe not. Dax and Lindsay were a fun and laid-back couple who really didn’t seem to be sweating any of the details of their wedding day. Scott met Lindsay a little earlier than scheduled at the Resort at Squaw Creek, since they came in from Texas and he had not yet had a chance to meet them. She was happy and relaxed as they chatted while she put on her makeup. Lindsay and Dax like to play and they like to travel and they wanted their wedding photographs to reflect their personalities. They really wanted to concentrate on the candid moments of their wedding day and have fun with the minimal posed portraits we decided to do. Their ceremony was a nice winter wedding outdoors on the spa deck at the Resort at Squaw Creek. The golf course and surroundings were covered with snow, but the Resort at Squaw Creek had added a fireplace to the spa deck where their intimate wedding party and guests could keep warm while having cocktails. Their wedding photography flowed around their ceremony and then we took the families and wedding party away from some quick wedding portraits during the cocktail hour. The couple chose Lake Tahoe for their destination wedding because it has a little something for all the guests, even during the winter months. The bride and groom were looking forward to getting a little riding in at the resort before heading off to Croatia for their honeymoon.
