Pink and white blossoming trees made a beautiful backdrop the day Renee and Tom were married at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno. I started the day with some getting ready photos of Renee in her suite on the 27th floor of the Grand Sierra Resort, enjoying the sweeping views of Mt. Rose. We did a fun boudoir session before she put her dress on and then it was off to the park for the ceremony in the courtyard of the Ranch House. Renee and Tom were a great couple to work with, very easy going, we were a great match.

The wedding party, you gotta love those “in between” moments during the portrait sessions, when people are laughing, kissing, maybe even making a funny face or two.
After standing still for the portraits, the flower girl, Renee’s daughter, and the ring bearers, her nephews, enjoyed playing on the rock walls in the garden next to the Ranch House. I love the juxtaposition of children dressed up in their formal attire playing in such a natural setting.

Roses in vases and mason jars and wedding photos of Renee and Tom’s parents decorated their table at the reception inside the Ranch House, along with their engraved beer steins.

We all do the nice beautiful cake shot, but I like to get this one too, so they can remember the yummy goodness inside the pretty presentation!
