Sara and Chris were married in Truckee at the Donner Lake West End Beach and had their reception at the Cedar House Sport Hotel. Scott and I started the day with them getting ready at the Cedar House before their first look in a field nearby. We then took them and their wedding party up to a beautiful overlook for some portraits before the ceremony. As always, we love it when our couples and their wedding parties are willing and able to scramble up some granite slabs in their high heals and silk dresses! We always assure them, “The images will be totally worth it!” After the ceremony, Sara and Chris had their first dance as they arrived in to the court yard back at the hotel where guests and family gathered around them.

Lastly, just a quick note about this venue: It is one of our absolute favorite venues for weddings in all of Lake Tahoe, but the owners have decided to only do smaller weddings in the future while they refocus their energies on the travel adventure packages that they offer through out the year.
