Allie and Jonathan had a March wedding at Shaffers Camp, located on the mountainside of Northstar Tahoe. While this year’s snow levels were not the best, there was still plenty of snow around the venue to give their wedding a winter feel, and it actually even snowed just a teeny, tiny bit during the ceremony, which was pretty magical! Allie and Jonathan did a first look on the mountain before the ceremony, and we spent some time with them and their wedding party having fun in the snow. Before the reception started, we took them out on the slopes one more time for a sunset session right after the ski runs had been freshly groomed, which added some cool patterns to several fo the images. Below is a detail shot of Allie’s wedding shoes …. this may seem like kind of a standard image to start a blog post with. But these are no ordinary wedding shoes, these are TOMS! And even the fact that they are TOMS is not too uncommon, as I have had several brides this year wearing them at their weddings. But what these shoes represent is where it all began, since Jonathan was one of TOMS first employees, and he met Allie there when she came in for a job interview. Because of a timing mix up, he unexpectedly was the one to give her a tour while she waited for the interview to begin. This couple was so fun to work with and we are looking forward to doing their trash the dress session next season in some more snow!
