Always a favorite venue, Palisades Tahoe provides amazing mountain and Lake Tahoe views, along with stunning meadow areas that look back up the valley with the famous tram face in the background. Sabrina and Ryan had a fall wedding, so we also hit the trail after their first look to get some images of them surrounded by bright yellow aspens. Their cute toddler didn’t quite know what to think about getting all dressed up, but he eventually settled in to his outfit with the help fo his dinosaur stuffy.
One of their wedding day catch phrases was ” Love at 8200 feet” and they hung a sign with it in the tram for their ride up to their ceremony and reception at High Camp. One of my favorite moments of the night was when the bride’s mom got up on the bar to dance! You know it is a good party when dancing happens on the bar!
And lastly, I want to share this sweet email I got from Sabrina after the wedding: “When people ask me my favorite part, I say the first look photos in the valley and in Shirley Canyon – that experience was once in a lifetime and so priceless to me. THANK YOU.” This is such a great way to view the first look …. a time on your wedding day when it is just the two of you, enjoying each other’s company and taking a few walks in nature before the whirl wind of the rest fo the day! ( Of course I am there as well to capture it all … but it really can be that time for the couple to connect with each other in nature.)
