Do you think nobody gets married at Lake Tahoe in the middle of winter? Think again! Winter weddings at Lake Tahoe can be incredibly special, assuming you are prepared for the unpredictable. The lake is less crowded. The beaches are vacant. The weather is more, well, interesting. In short, for the adventurous snow lovers, a winter wedding at Lake Tahoe can be a magical experience. If the weather is warm and it hasn’t snowed for a week or so, then most likely the beaches around the lake are snow free and beautiful, but nobody will be there because it’s too cold to swim. If you like skiing or snowboarding, we have you covered. Both of us are expert skiers and have passes at Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows and Mt. Rose ski resorts. We go anywhere, but you don’t have to pay for our lift tickets at those three places, oh, and Mammoth Mountain … we have passes at Mammoth too! It’s not Lake Tahoe, but Scott knows the resort and the backcountry around it like the back of his hand. Need help with ideas? Get ahold of us. Scott has been touring the backcountry around Lake Tahoe for over 20 years. He is an expert skier, ski racer and mountaineer and can help pick a location for any ability level. Winter is the slow season for weddings around Lake Tahoe, so odds are good that we will be available for you, (unless your wedding falls on one of Scott’s race days. He loves his races, but I will be around and know the area just as well.) If you are considering a full winter wedding at Lake Tahoe or just a stress-free adventurous elopement, let us help you plan your day.
