As wedding photographers in the Lake Tahoe region, we have done so many weddings at Edgewood Tahoe Resort, we can not even begin to count them. We are on the preferred vendor list here, and we know this venue inside and out, so we decided to give you a short guide to a few of the event spaces at this private lake front venue located in South Lake Tahoe. Today we will give you some information about the North Room venue space, along with some of our favorite images from a recent wedding we did there as a team.
Let’s start with the getting ready location: The Lodge, located on the same property as the wedding spaces. Their spacious suites are the perfect place for the wedding parties to get ready. When we work together as team, I hang out with the bride and her wedding party, and Scott hangs out with the groom and his wedding party capturing all of the fun, candid parts of the getting ready process. The rooms are lovely and spacious, with natural tones and an upscale mountain vibe with their decor. The bride and groom get a one-night complimentary stay in a Tahoe King Mountain View room the night of their wedding.
The ceremony location for North Room weddings is steps away from the reception space on a perfectly manicured grassy area right next to the beach with Lake Tahoe and Mt. Tallac as the backdrop for the ceremony.
And finally we come to the North Room reception space itself with 2500 square feet of event space that can accommodate 150 guests. What we love about the North Room the most, as far as the aesthetic for photographs, are the floor to ceiling triangular shaped windows that look out over the lake. The room itself has one of those indoor outdoor space feelings, and there are doors on three sides of the room that let guests outside on to the wraparound granite patio spaces. This wedding we are showing you here also had a few different lounge spaces set up on different areas of the patio. Their cocktail hour was also on the outdoor patio with a second bar set up outside ( the regular bar is located inside the reception room.)
The North Room also has access to a very long sandy beach that most couple’s enjoy taking a stroll on during sunset, and of course we are there to capture it!
Another thing we love about the North Room is that the dance floor is in the middle of the room, so during the first dance, the couple is literally surrounded by everyone. This floor plan is inviting and central to the dance party that can continue until midnight.
