Wendy and Daniel were married at the Zephyr Lodge at Northstar Resort on a windy day in September. Scott and I  started the day out with each of their small wedding parties getting ready in the village. Wendy and Daniel had their first look in a grassy field on the slope, with late season wildflowers blooming all around them. After spending some time doing portraits in the field, they wanted to take a lap on the ski lift before the ceremony. Northstar is a huge destination resort that offers miles of mountain biking trails through out the summer. You pretty much can’t throw a stone sideways without seeing them through out the day, so we thought it would be a fun contrast to capture a few images of the bikers, and we even saw some of our friends enjoying the trails that day! We had as much fun with Wendy and Daniel on their wedding day as we did at their Tahoe engagement session last June!

Holding a wedding at the top of a ski mountain pretty much guarantees a lot of effort must be made behind the scenes to pull off a seamless event, and, as always, Summit Soiree did a fantastic job.
