Before I go any further I would like to say that if you were in this wedding click away now!!! Shelly is preparing a surprise for her guests and does not want them seeing any pictures yet. Also if you are interested in getting updates when we post new info, click on the orange RSS feed button on top right, or on the facebook button to become a fan. Thanks.
I really have to admire Shelly Seidenstricker. This Reno girl took the reigns of her wedding and appeared to plan every detail herself. A challenging task I assure you. On her wedding day, not only was she preparing to get married, but she was orchestrating room swaps, making sandwiches for the bridal party and loading up the play lists and working the music at her reception in South Lake Tahoe. That would have been way too much for most brides on such a big day, but Shelly handled it well. One of the things I enjoyed most about this wedding was that, although it was obvious she was trying her best to save money, she placed a strong emphasis on the photography and refused to cut corners there. She told me the photography was the most important thing to her. She communicated well in the months leading up, emailing me examples of photographs that she liked, and building several hours into the day both before and after the ceremony to really try to do some creative photography. I think it paid off, not only does she have many of the standard Lake Tahoe wedding photos, but with the time we had, we were able to push the envelope a little and try a more creative approach. Hopefully she will enjoy all of her photos when she gets them soon.
Shelly held her wedding June 12, 2009 at the St. Francis of Assisi catholic church in Incline Village, NV. From there we stopped at several spots around the lake, and even drove up to the summit of Mt. Rose highway at Tahoe Meadows for a variety of photographs before heading to south shore for her reception at the Lakefront Wedding Chapel.
