Robin and Mitch chose Lake Tahoe for their destination wedding, which says a lot since they both live in Hawaii. For them, Lake Tahoe was a place that they loved to visit and play in. Because of the numerous casinos and hotels nearby, it was also an easy and affordable place for family from various parts of the US to travel to and stay in. Robin and Mitch are both very laid back and friendly people. Robin had a list of specific photos that they wanted, but they also made a point of telling me that they chose me to shoot their wedding because of my wedding photojournalism and documentary skills. They had their wedding ceremony on Regan Beach in South Lake Tahoe and chose Edgewood golf and country club for their reception. The day started out a little chilly with lots of clouds in the sky and a brief rain shower. Fortunately, the weather held up for all the key moments and we were able to make a lot of great photographs.

Even when I am not shooting for an album, I am always watching the flow of the day and thinking about where pictures would look best if I were putting a fine art album together. Obviously this would make a great closer.
