Joe and Noelle got married July 9, 2010 on the cottage greens at the Incline Village Hyatt. What a wonderful couple. Noelle made a beautiful bride and was easy to work with. Joe was on a break from what I think was his 3rd tour of combat duty in Afghanistan. I only talked briefly about it with his obviously proud father. Apparently he and his unit have been in some major stuff for quite some time. They are all pilots and amazing guys. You wouldn’t believe the way everyone we passed wanted to shake their hands and thank them and buy them drinks, etc. That was probably the hardest part about the portraits, random people were always walking into my shot to shake Joe’s hand. What a great couple, we wish them all the best, and hope for Joe’s continued safety and protection as he heads back to Afghanistan after his wedding. Good luck guys, and congratulations!
Noelle under a light in the hallway of the Incline Village Hyatt. I thought it gave a nice 30’s era film look.
Joe in his dress uniform. By the time I get these photos up, he is back in Afghanistan for is 3rd or 4th tour. Think safe thoughts for him, he’s a great guy!
Men from Joe’s unit wouldn’t allow the couple to pass without a kiss
Noelle cracks up as she gets an unexpected sword slap on the rear
One of the many detail shots I took of the dress uniforms. They really fascinated me, I think the guys thought I was a little strange.
This is as close as I wanted to get to the famous photo of the soldier kissing the girl in the street after WWII, but I think it works well with these two.
One of the many hilarious moments during the reception as the bride’s addiction to lip gloss was brought up.
What reception this year is complete without a tribute to the king of pop?
We ran out of the reception briefly for a few sunset shots.
