Kelly and Jack’s wedding story is yet another Covid postponed wedding … So while they were legally married in a small ceremony in 2020, they were able to have their big celebration at the Hellman Ehrman Mansion at Sugar Pine Point in Lake Tahoe during the spring of 2021. ( For the month of January, I am posting the last of the 2021 weddings that didn’t get blogged!) Since they were already married, they opted to forgo the ceremony part of the day, and instead they had a great cocktail hour, fun and meaningful speeches, and a ton of dancing!

The highlight of the day was a young black bear that meandered through the forest and along the shore right near the reception site! When I heard the ranger yelling, ” Go away bear,” I took off running to capture a few images of the bear … from a safe distance using my telephoto lens of course.
