Jess and Ryan were married on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe at one of my favorite venues, the Ehrman Mansion at Sugar Pine Point State Park. I love the early 1920’s buildings that are scattered around this park. Wedding cocktail hour and receptions are held on the porch and lawn area next to the main building, while the ceremony is held down the hill by the lake. Ike and Martin provided the music for the day, and they got people out there on the dance floor with classic rock songs from Pink Floyd to Led Zeppelin. Summit Soiree did a great job helping this busy couple plan the day.

Sometimes people ask us if we do any posed, family portraits. And yes, of course we do! While we rarely post family portraits on our blog or website galleries, I thought it would be nice to post this one because I just love it, the couple with their grandparents. The family portraits are just as important to most couples as the candids.

The bride’s nephew was the ring bearer. Here he is at the reception with his two headed bunny! ( I learned later that his mom works for Ripley’s Believe it or Not!)
