Laura and Greg were married at Edgewood Lake Tahoe in mid September. They were expecting warm days for their wedding weekend, but the weather had other plans for them. A storm rolled in, and when we got to her grandmother’s cabin at mid day, there was still a layer of snow covering the ground. But we had been keeping an eye on the weather all week, and told Laura to make sure to bring a pair of boots and something warm to wear over her wedding dress so that she would be comfortable and able to walk around in the snow. The wedding ceremony was moved indoors, but guests could see the view of Lake Tahoe while keeping warm and cozy as snow flurries continued through out the day. It was really important to Laura to get a lot of photos done at her grandmother’s cabin, which was located in the cutest historic developement of Tahoe Meadows, established in 1924, just south of Stateline. We had never been inside this gated community that has a lot of rebuilt houses mixed in with some original cabins. They had their first look in front of the cabin, and then we walked around the property for some portraits. We were also able to use the historic cabin next door and the old softball field that now looks like a meadow with a thick forest behind it. Scott and I almost forgot we were in South Lake Tahoe! Laura suprised Greg with a groom’s cake in the shape of the character The Grinch, which was his nick name as a national champion wrestler in college. Flour Girl Wedding Cakes did not disappoint! As the party continued in to the night, thanks to Lake DJ, some of Greg’s wresting friends pulled out some epic dance floor moves, but they weren’t dance moves, so I guess you could call them “wrestling party tricks.” We have a pretty good sequence in the post below showing the two guys in a rather intimate pose who then jump up in the air and flip themselves so that they keep exchanging who is standing at any one time.
