Melissa and Casey’s amazingly detailed wedding was at The HideOut near Kirkwood, and while it was a rainy, (snowy over the pass) freezing temps kind of a September day, that did not put a damper on this celebration. Melissa is a wedding planner with Blue Sky Events, and we work with her often throughout the wedding season. So, since she is a wedding planner, you can imagine the fabulous details that went in to this wedding day. In fact, we are including a ton more detail shots here than we normally do because there were just so many personal touches everywhere. Pinners will have a field day with this blog post!
Because of the rain, the ceremony was moved inside the main log cabin lodge and an extra tent was ordered for the dance floor, coffee bar and lounge. But the rain was nice enough to hold off long enough for their first look in the field and their portrait session with their wedding party.
The HideOut has fast become one of our favorite wedding venues. This beautiful, rustic property is perfect for a wedding weekend, with a big field for guests who want to camp, and a main lodge with ample bedrooms, as well as the saloon that has rooms upstairs. Scott and I got there a day early with our Aliner pop up trailer so we could spend some time to get to know the property. Our favorite feature is the huge, 30 person hot tub, built right into the side of the granite hillside, with a view of the lake below it. Not only is it great for photographs, it was really nice to soak in at the end of the first evening too!
We are also thrilled to let you know that this wedding was featured on the nationally recognized Wedding Chicks website! Check it out and read some more straight from the bride herself.
