What a great wedding at the Corner Barn in Graeagle, California. This venue is relatively new and located about 1/2 hour from Truckee, CA in the small recreational community of Graeagle, known more for fishing than weddings. One of the recent additions to the town this year, besides the Corner Barn, is a brewery that actually produces some darn good pale ale’s and IPA’s as well as having a beautiful patio. But I digress, back to Connor and Molly. This was a great wedding for me to shoot since I knew Connor through kayaking, and have seen him teach Molly the basics, then get her out in the playpark and rivers over the years. Molly is pretty much fearless and these two are a perfect match and I am sure, will have many happy years of adventures ahead of them. The town of Graeagle is becoming a more frequent stop for us during our summer weddings. The new Corner Barn is a great venue, and just down the road is the 20 Mile House, where we have shot many weddings over the years. The brewery looks like it may be shaping up as a decent venue as well, the way they are building out the patio and front decks. We shall see. This wedding was in late October and started out sunny, but quickly changed to on and off rain all day. Oh! By the way, if your photographer asks you to go out into the dark night in the pouring rain, you should do it!
