Cassie and Josh had an intimate wedding in Yosemite National Park a few weeks ago with their family and a few close friends. The ceremony was at Glacier Point and the reception was in the Mural Room at The Ahwahnee Hotel ( sorry, we just can’t call it by it’s new name!) On our way from the ceremony to the reception, we stopped at a beautiful meadow where the wild flowers were in their prime bloom and there were several downed trees scattered through out the area so that we didn’t have to walk in the meadow itself. We also met up with them the next morning at 8 a.m. for a portrait session at a few iconic Yosemite Valley locations.

Cassie found her bouquet on the Etsy page, “The Backyard Gardner.” It is made out of sola flowers which are made of soft tapioca or balsa wood.

The panoramic mural in the Mural Room is a toile pente (painted linen) created by Robert Boardman Howard for the hotel’s opening in 1927.

After the dinner in the Mural Room ended, the party moved upstairs to the presidential suite of The Ahwahnee Hotel.
