Pilar and Tom held their wedding at the Lake Tahoe Ritz Carlton Highlands on a warm Sunday morning in mid June. They practically had the entire hotel to themselves. The new luxury hotel located mid mountain at the Northstar at Tahoe ski resort was the setting for the getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. I started at 8:30 a.m. with Pilar’s getting ready shots and portraits in the spa. Pilar and Tom were a great couple to work with, very lovely and down to earth. The Ritz created a fabulous brunch buffet, presented beautifully at several stations, complete with a made-to-order omelet station, pastries, fresh exotic fruit, skillet pancakes, mini truffle desserts, giant home made fortune cookies, and fresh hot chocolate, just to name SOME of the offerings! Yummy!
Pilar has her veil put on, it had to be gently laid over a 4 inch tall antique Spanish comb handed down from her mother.
“Technically” we are not allowed to take any photos in the “living room” , the big gathering room for guests with a 3 story Octagonal fireplace, at the Ritz! But I did this quick portrait of Tom when no one else was around!
