We love this Squaw Valley Olympic Village Lodge wedding for Sara and Paul. This couple is one of our favorites this year becuase they were so genuinely sweet and connected to each other. This made our jobs that day a piece of cake! Sara and Paul love spending time in the outdoors and have also travelled all around the world together. Squaw Valley was the perfect backdrop for their wedding, and they enjoyed the surrounding activities that Lake Tahoe has to offer during their wedding weekend. Scott and I spent a bit of time with each group during the getting ready process in the village. We then met up in the meadow for their first look. With their first look at about 3 in the afternoon, the sun was just enough behind them to give them nice, even back lighting for their portrait session. Their ceremony was held on the lawn at the lodge, also with perfect late afternoon light behind them. Family is of huge importance to this couple and was incorporated into their vows. Their parents and wedding party did a ring blessing, with each person having a few moments to send good thoughts and prayers to the couple while moving their rings along a ribbon. They also included a few Filipino wedding ceremony traditions. Sharing their day with family and friends included a lot of kids running around who enjoyed the lawn games and dancing in to the night.
