Taylor and Petr got exactly what they wanted for their Palisades Tahoe wedding: snow on their wedding day! As a local South Lake Tahoe couple who enjoys skiing together, they had a ski day with friends and family the day before the wedding, and then what started out as a light drizzle in the valley on their wedding day, turned into snow falling during their ceremony and reception at High Camp.
Their first look was in the meadow during the drizzle, so after they had a few minutes to enjoy the view of the mountains, we headed back to their rental house and did some more group portraits indoors. Their adorable dog Benny was part of their wedding, and he was a Big sweet heart. We love when people incorporate their dogs on their wedding day, and we always make sure to keep an eye on them and capture whatever they may be up to before, during, and after the ceremony.
DJ Sawyer kept the dance floor packed all evening. And there was even an impromptu jump rope session with several of the guests’ ties knotted together for the jump rope!
Scroll down to the end of the wedding day to see the ski day images. They started out the session in their wedding attire, and then they changed outfits mid morning to meet up with friends and family. The session started out in a thick cloud at the top of the mountain, and ended with the group doing the snow snake in their springtime attire!
