I love documenting Lake Tahoe surprise proposals! I captured this sweet couple last Saturday just before sunset at Zephyr Cove. The dramatic thunderstorm clouds across the lake added to the perfect backdrop for Gianluca to propose to Kellsie. For surprise proposals, I always arrive early to the scene, pretend to be photographing the surrounding landscape, and then when the moment happens, I love capturing the bride’s reaction! After giving them some time to enjoy the moment together, we then did an impromptu engagement session. Surprisingly, and thankfully since it was the holiday weekend, most of the crowds had already left the beach by the time he proposed. It truly was a perfect evening!
