Kat and Jay were hoping for a snowy engagement session when we met at Valhalla in South Lake Tahoe a few weeks ago. It hadn’t snowed for a long time, but there was still some snow on the ground, thanks to the tall trees on the south shore that help to shade the area so it won’t melt as fast as other locations on the north and east shore. We got some classic images with Lake Tahoe as the back drop, then we went into the forest and along the snow shoe path to some of the historic buildings located at the Tallac Historic site. Kat brought a few of her wedding themed peacock feathers to use as props for a few of the images. We ended the session at the Beacon Bar and Grill, which Kat says they visit often during their summer weekends at Tahoe, where the couple had a cocktail to celebrate their engagement.
